This web site is run by the Floyd Hill Property Owners Association (FHAPOA).

 

 FHAPOA is a voluntary organization of homeowners supporting community activities that benefit us all. 

 

Issues that were addressed in 2006:
•  Wildfire danger, mitigation and emergency notification
•  Water issues (land annexation, Williams property, Floyd Hill Crossing)
•  Master Planning for Clear Creek County
•  Traffic (Saddleback Development)
•  Traffic (I70, US 40, Central City/Blackhawk access)
•  Beaver Brook Apartments (Williams development)
•  Elmgreen Homestead Open Space acquisition
•  Floyd Hill Crossing Development
•  Neighborhood Master Plan
•  Secondary Access to/from Floyd Hill (e.g. to CR 65)
•  High speed internet access for Floyd Hill

Here are some of your homeowners’ association activities in 2006:

  • Held 5 meetings (so far) with a variety of topics and guest speakers

  • Administered an emergency notification system where an automated phone system can be initiated to pass on information to those who work out of the neighborhood.

  • Built & maintained a list of resident's email addresses to facilitate timely and cost effective distribution of community information (proposed commercial development in the neighborhood, blizzard updates, lost pets, high school events, …)

  • Maintained a community web site http://FloydHill.org.

  • Continued a road committee to identify and prioritize repair, maintenance, and construction needs in order to communicate these needs to CCC Road & Bridge.

  • Established a playground committee and received approval from the Recreation District to use park space for a new playground.

  • Social activities (Winter Party)

  • Combined Floyd Hill Saddleback Homeowners Association garage sale

  • New resident welcome packages

  • Represented the community to government officials:

    Clear Creek County:

    • County Commissioners

    • Director of Land Use

    • School Board

    • Parks and Recreation

    • Open Space

    • Sheriff and Fire Authority

    • Road and Bridge

    • Planning and Zoning

    -  Worked with JoAnn Sorenson, Director of Land Use for CCC, on a master plan for the area.
