1300 Hy Vu Dr
Just wanted to let you know of our Bear encounter last night so that you
could let the other Floyd Hill residents know. It would be good to remind
our neighbors that there is an active bear in our neighborhood and measures
to take to keep it away.
At 2:30am a large bear was in our driveway tossing around our bear
proof garbage container. The container was empty but probably had garbage
odor in it. It then attempted to break into our daughters truck
with topper on it. The bear was rocking the truck and pawing at the topper.
Turns out she had left a bag with 3 chicken nuggets in the truck. The bear
left when we shouted at it and turned the outside lights on.
We certainly don't want to attract a bear to our property so will leave even
empty garbage cans in the garage and never have any food left in a vehicle.

610 Meadow View (mid way along Meadow View about ¼ mile after it turns to dirt)
Well now we have bear visitors. Early this morning Lou went to work and saw a bear at the top of our drive. He came back to tell me to be careful.
Last night we heard breaking glass.
Then another neighbor was out walking about 7:00 and she stopped in her tracks. My dog was going nuts. She saw two bears up in the tree next to our house (the red one). I've been keeping an eye on them and called the sheriff. They came out and said there were two baby bears up the tree.
Lou saw the mom this morning. Tell people out walking that they could accidentally get between mom and babies. Tell people to be aware of their surroundings.
Fun, but a little frightening too. The babies are still up there and wildlife
is supposed to come out.
Please avoid for your safety and the bears’.
Not only are the babies still in the tree the mother has joined them and is
guarding energetically (at least with a few huffs and snarls).
