Committee Reports:

Road Committee:   No report. Discussion did take place around ditches and drainage.  Make sure ditches are free from any debris so county can maintain.

Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) Committee:  (Josh Lewis)  Currently, the team is writing the plan.  A field-trip/drive around of the hill is scheduled for April 24th.  Next meeting is April 28, 6:30 at the Firehouse/HWY 40.

Neighborhood Roadway Safety Committee:  (Kris Kinzli, Chip Rich, Linda Berteau) Kris & Chip have emailed the CCC Sheriff to see if he can assist with a neighborhood plan or attend an upcoming FHAPOA meeting. Chip is going to contact the CCC High School security offer in an effort to partner and get support.

Emergency Notification Committee:     Holly has graciously updated all lists with the last member dues update.  All officers will need training for voice shots.

Development Committee:   Report by Jim White – two issues currently on the table.  First are the articles that are being published in the CCC Courant by the CCC Board of County Commissioners.  Residents should take a look at what these letters say and respond accordingly.  2nd issue is around the Eclipse Ski Park outside of St. Mary’s Glacier.  Residents are against the development of this park and residents are needed in support for an April 21 meeting in Idaho Springs.

Water Response Committee:    Jim White, This issue is quiet at this time.

Activities Committee:     Kris Lee suggested sending out a postcard to all addresses on the hill announcing the summer calendar.  Included will be the neighborhood trash pick-up week, Flea Market, ReCycle Week, Chipper Weekend, Picnic, Safe Driving Awareness and other FHAPOA scheduled meetings.  The committee approved the mailing.

New Business:

  • New officers were sworn in.  Chip Rich is the new President and Louise Heern is the new Treasurer.  Keith Briggs, Vice President and Kris Lee, Secretary, will remain for a second term.

  • Entrance Sign – still looking for volunteers to help in designing/building a new entrance sign to the neighborhood.  Bottom of hill next to park in ride – to consolidate current signs and improve the overall look of the neighborhood.  Could be a multi-neighborhood project.

Closure and Next Meeting:

The next FHAPOA meeting will be scheduled for May 20th  at 7:00 pm at the Fire Station on U.S. Route 40.  Josh Lewis motioned to close the meeting and Jim White seconded the motion.

Respectfully submitted,

Kris Lee
